OVERVIEW
R30 was an integrated amplifier developed and handcrafted elaborately to re-render
full music sprit and connotation,whose design reference benchmark is state of the
art counterpart hi-end integrated amplifiers’ performance, tone, function, construction
and fabrication.
Based on decades of experiences on research, development and handcraft for audio
amplifiers by Dussun, every new design in R30 is aimed at the clear objective for
sound quality and tone improvement.In order to achieve high fidelity output music
signals by R30 against the music source, output characters matching electrodynamic
loudspeakers’ electric-sound characters, design of R30 went through a long time repeated
audition, measurement and improvement process, which made the finished R30 achieve
the ideal matching level for signal magnification circuit, volume control circuit,
power supply system and interior construction.
In addition to the technical specification for a hi-end amplifier deserved, R30’s
sound possessed outstanding quietness, rich details, dense timbre and transparent
and spacious tone. It escorted the audience to rediscover the performing atmosphere
and rich sound spatial information from those familiar CDs which was missed before.
R30, made under the principle of uncompromising, became the first reference level
integrated amplifier in Dussun product family by means of high performance and high
sound quality.
SPECIAL DESIGN FEATURES
● Ultra high-end 0.1db steps, left and right channel fine synchronized high precision
volume control:
Considering the volume control device as one of the souls of an amplifier, R30
employed Dussun developed volume control device, set up by a 16-bit digital controlled
analogue circuit and possessed 1/65,535 level super fine resolution within whole
volume control range. This volume control comprising circuit high linear solid state
switch and precise resistance, ensured precise synchronization of R30’s left and
right channel volume control at any position within its 80 dB volume control range.
All problems of sound quality degradation and application intervention from frequency
and phase distortion, volume synchronization error, sliding friction noise, limited
lifetime attribute to traditional volume control potentiometers’ various voltage
ratio, was eliminated. Either in working principle or practical performance, R30
reached the highest technical level fully among the state of the art hi-end amplifier
volume control and pride upon taking part in “Club of 0.1db steps volume control”.
● Low distortion, Non-feedback Power output stage:
The newest designed “Optimized Self-Adaptive Bias Circuit” Improved significantly
the linearity in output stage signal crossover region, while maintaining huge power
output without switch distortion. Much different from routine design which removed
output stage feedback resulting in highly increased non-linear distortion, especially
at high frequency range, R30 accomplished super low crossover distortion by its “Optimized
Self-Adaptive Bias Circuit”. Along with the most nature and spacious tone from a
“non-feedback at output terminal amplifier”, R30 achieved the perfect result of full
power output, low distortion, high sound quality in the whole audio frequency.
● Thorough independent dual-mono channel full balanced design:
R30’s left and right channel circuit as well as control units were equipped with
individual independent power supply system. Data used to control individual channel
was transmitted in terms of optical transmission. Absolute electric isolation made
R30 true to its name, dual mono channel amplifier, which working as same as two sets
of precisely synchronized independent mono channel amplifiers, nil stereo crossover
between left and right channel, resulting in pinpoint accurate sound images.

ABOUT “Hyper Class A”
The “Hyper Class A” is a “Green” Class A solution, whose technically successful
adaptive-bias circuit achieves the extra large class A power output objective under
conditions of low-power consumption and low heat production.
The adaptive-bias circuit with an ideal specification permits the amplifier to
maintain class A mode output even if speakers’ impedance drops largely and output
power increases several times. This situation is different from the traditional pure
class A amplifiers’ inevitable situation of returning to class B when the speaker
load impedance goes down, and so Hyper class A is much close to the ideal class A
amplifier essence
